The Aglaonema, also known as the Chinese Evergreen, is a slow-growing tropical plant with rich, green leaves attractively patterned with silver markings. Popular in home and offices, Aglaonema are tolerant of low and artificial lighting, making them suitable for any space. They are forgiving of infrequent watering but enjoy to be slightly moist. Their ability to grow well in low light environments and despite infrequent watering make them a great choice for plant parents who are just learning or do not have as much time as they would like to spend on their plants.
The Aglaonema is low light tolerant allowing it to live in most living spaces but thrives in medium to bright indirect sunlight.
We suggest watering once a week allowing the soil to drain and dry. Aglaonemas are forgiving to under watering but are less tolerant to over watering. Yellow leaves are a sign of overwatering so if you start to see them simply remove them and scale the water back.
Similar to humans, plants like the Aglaonema prefer temperatures of 65⁰ to 85⁰.
A very light feeder, apply a balanced houseplant fertilizer at half strength once every 1 - 3 months.
Our Classic Collection features a tapered terracotta design in two sizes and three styles highlighted by its beautiful color and lush green foliage. The Classic is made of terracotta: a porous, breathable material that allows for water and air circulation in the soil and creates a healthy environment for the plant. The word terracotta can trace its roots back to the Latin words “terra cocta” meaning baked earth. This clay-based pot minimizes over-watering and helps plants maintain healthy roots by absorbing excess moisture from the soil. In addition to its health benefits terracotta is known for developing a unique patina that gives it a beautiful and timeless look as it ages. Inspired by the minimalist lifestyle, this planter is simplistic, tasteful, and authentic.
