Scindapsus Pictus, also known as Satin Pothos, is a tropical climbing plant with matte green to deep green leaves decorated with silver-gray blotches in an irregular pattern with a satin texture. Popular in home and indoor settings, Satin Pothos can be grown anywhere with an indirect light source and only needs to be watered when the top inch feels dry. Its ability to grow well in indirect light with infrequent watering makes it a great choice for beginner plant parents.
The Scindapsus enjoys bright, indirect light but can do well in most areas as long as there is light coming in. Proper light allows it to maintain its beautiful variegation as well as avoid scorched leaves from the burning sun.
Enjoys deep waterings allowing the soil to drain and slightly dry. Scindapsus are forgiving to under watering but are less tolerant to over watering. Yellow leaves are a sign of overwatering.
Similar to humans, plants like the Scindapsus prefer temperatures of 65⁰ to 85⁰.
A very light feeder, apply a balanced houseplant fertilizer at half strength once every 1 - 3 months.
Our Classic Collection features a tapered terracotta design in two sizes and three styles highlighted by its beautiful color and lush green foliage. The Classic is made of terracotta: a porous, breathable material that allows for water and air circulation in the soil and creates a healthy environment for the plant. The word terracotta can trace its roots back to the Latin words “terra cocta” meaning baked earth. This clay-based pot minimizes over-watering and helps plants maintain healthy roots by absorbing excess moisture from the soil. In addition to its health benefits terracotta is known for developing a unique patina that gives it a beautiful and timeless look as it ages. Inspired by the minimalist lifestyle, this planter is simplistic, tasteful, and authentic.
